2008 Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games
Receive $100,000 from TSX Group
On Thursday December 6, 2007 Special Olympics athletes Stephanie Rowe and Brian Bell opened the financial market in Toronto. The Toronto Stock Exchange will partner with the 2008 Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games in Quebec City, February 26 to March 1, 2008 with a generous sponsorship contribution of $100,000.
The new partnership fostered by Mr. Richard Nadeau, TSX Senior Vice-President, will support the 2008 Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games. The funds will facilitate the installation of appropriate infrastructures and the arrangement of high level competitions for the Games. The 2008 Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games will play host to more than 900 Special Olympics athletes, coaches and delegates from across Canada. Special Olympics athletes will be competing at several venues around the city of Quebec. The 7th Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games will take place in Quebec City in conjunction with Quebec City’s 400th Anniversary.
