Home Hardware is a longstanding partern of Special Olympics Canada and has supported the development of sport programs for athletes with an intellectual disability in communities across the country. Each year Home Hardware invites Special Olympics Canada to participate in their Spring and Fall Dealer Markets in St. Jacobs, Ontario at the Home Hardware head offices.
Over thirty Special Olympics athletes and volunteers participated at the Spring Market on April 13, 14 and 15 where they had the opportunity to meet with the over 1,000 Home Hardware vendors who gather at the Markets to display new products to Home Hardware merchandise buyers from all across the country.
Home Hardware not only provides Special Olympics athletes the opportunity to share their experiences with vendors and store owners but also donates all proceeds collected at the information booth, snack booth and raffle prizes. Over the years Special Olympics Canada, through the generous support of Home Hardware have raised over $80,000 at both the Spring and Fall Markets.
