Special Olympics Canada is pleased to partner with JYSK Canada on the inaugural “Be a Fan: Donate, Coach, Compete” campaign rolling out next month at the leading home furnishing retailer’s 36 locations across Canada.
JYSK customers will be encouraged to donate to Special Olympics either in-store or online. All funds raised through the “Be a Fan” campaign will support Special Olympics in its mandate to provide quality sport training and competition experiences to Canadians with an intellectual disability.
“The ‘Be a Fan: Donate, Coach, Compete’ campaign allows Canadians to help change the lives of athletes with an intellectual disability –simply by donating,” said Deborah Bright, SOC’s president and CEO. “JYSK Canada continues to support the dreams of Special Olympics athletes allowing them to win on the playing field and at life.”
"Be a Fan: Donate, Coach, Compete" campaign, running July 1 to 31, 2008 at all JYSK retail locations across Canada. Donations will also be accepted at http://www.jysk.ca
JYSK Canada has been a national partner of Special Olympics Canada since 2006, continuing the tradition of sponsoring Special Olympics programs worldwide when the company was founded in 1979 in Denmark. JYSK Canada was Team Canada’s largest sponsor at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Shanghai, China.
